Hi all avid readers,

Just a bit more news now that we have returned to normal-ish after our very first Royal Norfolk Show. We spent days preparing the palms and transporting them in a hired Luton, then setting out our 40’ by 12’ display. Really hard physical work because some of these plants weighed in at around 70 kilos. We had no idea what to expect in the way of interest.
But hey, we had a great time. Sales took a leap and we sold a couple of big palms as well as lots of smaller stuff. And even more amazing, we won a Bronze Medal. Not bad for the new boys on the block after just a few months in business. Have included a picture from the show so you can see what it was like. We will remember the blistering heat on those two very hot sunny days and the excitement of winning a medal. By the way, temperatures in our Glasshouse at Palm Farm reached an inferno-ish 45.4 degress F last week.

On the plant side, the palms are looking great. We have just ordered another small batch including some Yuccas (linearis and rostrata) , some 2.2m Musa basjoo and some large Musa lasiocarpa as well as Dasilirion longissimum. We will post some pictures when they arrive.

All the best to our readers from Palm Farm Limited
