We are creating a collection at Palm Farm of the rarer yuccas including miquihuanensis, treculeana, glaucophyllum as well as the more usual (though still difficult to find in the UK)rostrata, baccata, carnerosana, filifera, rigida, thompsoniana and linearifolia (formerly linearis). The big benefit of all of these yuccas is their extreme hardiness (-15C) and drought resistance. Tied to their stunning architecture, these amazing plants will make a huge impact on any garden. Once established, they are almost maintainince free and require little watering or other care. The distinctive trunks are formed by trimming the dead leaves – though never trim a Yucca thompsoniana. The crowns are equlally distinctive, sometimes spherical though they vary from variety to variety. Please see products for more specific details on each variety.
